2017 Tournament
The Inaugural Squash Angels Tournament
To kick off the 2017/2018 season we hosted the inaugural Squash Angels Tournament at the Hong Kong Cricket Club, bringing together female squash players of all ages from across Hong Kong. This was a weekend long tournament with 43 players across three divisions.
There was a mix of players that participated, some relatively new to squash and others more experienced. The event was held in conjunction with World Women’s Squash Week 2017 which is a celebration for women’s squash players.
Matches
Throughout the weekend, we were treated to around 70 competitive matches across the three divisions. Three great finals capped off the event. There was equal prize money for the winners of each of the three draws as well as great product prizes from our sponsors.

Saturday Night Social
Not only did the tournament get players back into squash after the summer break but it was also a chance to catch up with fellow squash enthusiasts. We put aside our competitive spirits and met with fellow players, organisers and ambassadors over food and drinks on the Terrace on Saturday night.
Special thanks to our sponsors and volunteers without whom we wouldn’t be able to run the event. Also, a huge thank you to our tournament VIP: Annie Au (Hong Kong Women’s #1), Heather Deayton (HKSquash) and Chris Robertson (Hong Kong National Coach).
Profits from the event went toward two charities: Heroes Too environmental charity and RainLily abused women’s charity.
